Astronomy at Covington Park

Event Details

Each of the four seasons presents a different night sky. Spring is known as the
season of galaxies, but there are also constellations and many deep sky objects to
observe. In the beginning of May we can identify seven spring constellations and
catch a few remaining winter constellations. You will be shown the constellations
and told about the mythology surrounding them. Our telescopes will allow you to
see galaxies in addition to distant and faint stars. If you have good quality 8 or 10
power binoculars bring them to learn about binocular astronomy.

No charge, but limited attendance
